Authentic Leadership

Join us for this exciting talk with Dr. Jen Welter, who will share with the audience how to embrace who they are as their strategic advantage – “What makes you different is what makes you special,” as she puts it. She will provide strategies to lead with authenticity, recognize potential, and remain true to one’s self along the way. Dr. Welter uses humor to describe challenging situations as she shares her own journey from the early days of her career through glass-ceiling-shattering
accomplishments. She emphasizes that the power of diverse teams and strong relationships are critical to success because people are our most valuable assets.

 
Biography:

Dr. Jen Welter has a career of firsts, best known as the first female to coach in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals. But this was not her first time being a first. Welter, standing at 5-feet-2-inches, was also the first female running back to play for a men’s professional league, the Texas Revolution. She’s a veteran of several women’s professional and semi-professional football teams, an author of the book Play Big: Lessons in Being Limitless from the First Woman to Coach in the NFL, host of the Gridiron Girls Flag Football camps for girls age 6-18, a motivational
speaker, and always prepared for her next adventure. 

Welter holds a doctorate degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Sports Psychology. She has 18 years of experience in fitness and as a professional athlete. Her academic background and life experiences on and off the field- have equipped her with a unique perspective on the power of sport and remaining authentic through adversity.
