The Emerson Global Users Exchange Conference was developed to provide end users with a valuable exchange of information among process manufacturers, end users and Emerson experts.  The unique opportunity offers peers the ability to network, view and offer input about developing Emerson technologies and to take away new knowledge, ideas and techniques to help maximize assets and increase profitability.

The Conference includes:

With your conference registration you may purchase guest passes for your spouse or domestic partner and children ($200 each) during registration. If you have already registered and wish to add a guest pass (or multiple guest passes), please log back in to your myExchange Dashboard and click the “Make Payment/Add Package” button at the top of the page.

** Please note - Guest must present badge to gain entry to all events. Guest passes must be purchased for guests age 5 and older. Children 4 and under do not need a guest pass.

Registered Guest Pass Inclusions:

All scheduled Emerson Exchange meals
Breakfast 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., Monday - Friday
Lunch 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday

The evening receptions Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the Technical Exhibit Hall 
Music Jam on Tuesday evening and the Social / Networking event on Thursday evening.

The guest pass does not include access to any conference sessions.

Yes, your ticket to the Thursday Networking Event is included in your full conference registration pass price. If you purchased a day pass (one, two, or three day) and selected Thursday as one of your days, then you are invited to attend the Thursday evening event. 

Unfortunately, we do not sell individual tickets to the Thursday Networking Event. Guests need to be registered with Emerson Exchange ($200 Guest Pass) in order to attend the event.

The Emerson Global Users Exchange, at the direction of its User-driven Board of Directors, is unable to grant refunds after the  September 4th cancellation deadline, due to financial guarantees made to suppliers and the host hotels. For your reference, a copy of the conference cancellation policy, as issued with registration confirmations and as published on our website, is shown below:

Notice of cancellation must be sent in writing via confirmed email to the All paid-in-fees/monies will be refunded for cancellations received on or before September 4, 2019. After this date no refunds can be made.

Same company personnel substitutions may be made at any time. Please send a request to to transfer a registration and provide the full name, email and company of the new registrant. Hotel reservations can be modified or cancelled using the link in you myExchange Dashboard.

**Please note the busiest registration day for Emerson Exchange is Sunday afternoon/evening and Monday morning. You may encounter a wait (up to 10 minutes) if you pick up your badge during peak hours; please plan accordingly.

Travel and Housing

In an effort to support our host properties and keep your registration fees lower, Emerson Exchange requests that all attendees stay within the housing block arranged for the conference in order to be eligible for the discounted early bird rate or a registration fee waiver. Staying within the conference block offers Emerson Exchange Attendees access to the lowest rates available and additional discounts at your selected hotel. Should an attendee receive the early bird rate or a registration fee waiver and be found to be staying outside of the conference block the attendee is subject to be charged a $400 fee which will be charged following the conference. 
Local attendees are exempt from the hotel requirements.

You can request a letter of invitation to assist with obtaining a visa during the registration process.

Please note you must be registered for the conference and paid in full in order for a letter of invitation to be issued. 


A complete library of post conference presentations will be made available for conference attendees on Emerson Exchange 365 a few weeks after the conference. Registered attendees will be notified when these are available.

The 2020 Emerson Global Users Exchange Conference in Phoenix is expected to be around 3,000 attendees.

Casual and business dress are both appropriate. Please avoid wearing red shirts since these are reserved for Board member recognition.

Session descriptions will be available on the website and online Session Catalog in May.

Conference attendees and their registered guests receive all breakfast and lunch meals, as well as beverages and appetizers at the Technology Exhibit receptions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and at the Thursday Networking Event.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded for qualified Educational Services course completions; CEUs are .1 for each contact hour. All Emerson Exchange events may be eligible for Professional Development Hours (PDHs) based on state entity requirements. For further information, please review your state’s/country's eligibility requirements.

As always, the 2020 Emerson Global Users Exchange will be both educational and entertaining.  Plan your schedule so you won’t miss the special events planned for conference attendees.

  • Music Jam Networking Event – Tuesday evening
  • Social/Networking Event – Thursday evening
