Greg Stephens
Washington Savannah River Company
Greg Stephens began his career with DuPont
in 1982 as an Electrical Project Engineer, implementing communications and
power controls projects. He joined General Electric Aerospace in Daytona
Beach, FL as a Manufacturing Management Program Engineer in 1987, where he
lead projects that migrated numerically controlled manufacturing equipment
from paper tape readers to networked PCs. In 1989, Greg rejoined DuPont as
a computer controls engineer at the Savannah River Plant, a Department of
Energy facility near Aiken, SC. He joined Westinghouse in late 1989, when
the company took over operations and management at Savannah River. Greg has
held positions in systems and facilities operations, network security,
process automation, and plant engineering, including work on the first
DeltaV installation at the site. He is currently the Manager of Process &
Information Systems for Defense Programs. He holds a Bachelors degree in
Electrical & Computer Engineering from Clemson University. Greg's wife,
Jane and their three children live in Aiken, SC.
