The Chairman's MessageSeptember, 2004 The 2004 Emerson Global Users Exchange is less than two months away!! The Emerson Exchange is growing by leaps and bounds. We received an overwhelming response to our “Call for Papers”, with approximately 350 abstracts submitted. We thank all of our members for this great show of support. This free “Exchange” of information is what makes the Emerson Global Users Exchange a real “Users” group. With our conference time limited to four and a half days, this year’s offerings will include over 200 technical presentations along with an expanded list of thirty short courses. If you haven’t reviewed the four and a half day conference agenda or the technical offerings, check out the website for the most up to date information. For 2004, we have continued our conference offerings, including ten technical content tracks, Product Roadmaps for all of Emerson Process Management’s Divisions and Management Round Tables. We have added Industry Business Forums which will be focused on the critical business issues for your perspective industry. There promises to be content to appeal to even the most discerning professional. The Technology Exhibits have again been expanded to include even more hands-on demonstrations. The Technology Exhibits offer a unique opportunity to see all of the Emerson Process Management products in one place. In addition, they’ll all be connected to a single DeltaV system, which I believe will be one of the broadest demonstrations of PlantWeb technology implemented for demonstration in one place. Continuing our tradition of past years, you will have the opportunity to meet with Emerson Alliance partners, Emerson Division representatives and the third party vendors who offer the complimentary products you need. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet the people who can meet your needs. And for the guests of our members, make plans to attend the first ever, guest brunch on Monday morning. Designed to provide an opportunity to make plans for the week with guest speakers from area representatives, this promises to be fun for all. So, it’s not too late! If you haven’t already registered, you still can. I look forward to seeing you at this year’s Emerson Global Users Exchange, Oct 25th through October 29th, at the Gaylord Texan™ Resort and Conference Center in beautiful Grapevine, Texas. As always, we would appreciate your ideas, comments and participation. Please feel free to contact me (madaws@emersonexchange.org), or any member of the Emerson Exchange Board of Directors, if you have question or feedback on the Emerson Global Users Exchange. Best regards,
Marion Dawson-Sutton
