The Chairman's Message

April, 2006

The planning stages for the 2006 Emerson Global Users Exchange Technical Conference is well underway. The board has set the theme of “Learn, Lead, Unleash. This theme is in keeping with our mission statement. “… To provide a forum for the open exchange of non-proprietary information among the users and Emerson Process Management with an emphasis on the enabling technologies, solutions and services of Emerson Process Management's PlantWeb architecture”.

On January 12th, the call for papers was issued.  Since then, we have received over 480 abstracts breaking all records of past conferences. We are on track to have another very successful year.

This year’s conference will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center located in Nashville, TN. The extensive program
will include three keynote speakers, two management round tables, nine industry business forums, over 250 workshops, short courses,
and over 45,000 square feet of technology exhibits.

A new track has been added for this year’s conference. “Emerson Product and Services Update”. This track will contain more in-depth
information on products and services that are available from Emerson and new advances or enhancements to existing products and services.

Start making your plans to attend. This conference is shaping up to be the best yet!

Early bird registration will begin June 1st.

Hope to see you there!

Jim Cook, Chairman
Emerson Global User’s Exchange Board of Directors
