The Chairman's MessageApril, 2003 I
would like to start out by thanking all of those folks who have
submitted their abstracts for presentations and papers at this
year’s conference. Over 138 abstracts have been received. These
are the folks who make our conference a real “users”
conference.
In addition to the papers and presentations, the 2003 Emerson Global Users Exchange conference will feature an expanded number of short courses. Plans are to have short courses on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings during the conference. This will give you more opportunity to attend a short course whether you’re attending the conference for the week or just a day or two. It’s a great value. Speaking of value. This year’s Emerson Exchange has been expanded to include ALL of Emerson Process Management’s divisions, including Process Systems, Process Solutions, Micro Motion, Rosemount, Power and Water Solutions, Asset Management Solutions, CSI, Brooks, Daniel, Fisher Valves, Emerson Valve Automation and more. This means more information on more subjects and more value for you, the users. Imagine, all of the Emerson Process Management products and technical resources together in one place. This is your opportunity to get answers to your questions and see all of PlantWeb working together in one place. The one trip and the one place where all of Emerson Process Management is available for you. That’s getting your money’s worth. That’s value. So start talking to your management about your attendance at this year’s Emerson Global Users Exchange, September 29 through October 3, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN. We’re planning five value filled days at the largest and most extensive users conference yet. In fact, invite your management to attend. This year we’re planning Management Roundtables and a management track on Monday. But I’ll have more information on that in a future message. As always, we would appreciate your ideas, comments and participation. Please feel free to contact myself (225-642-1249), or any member of the Board, if you have questions or feedback on the conference or the Emerson Global Users Exchange. We hope that you will continue to come back to our web site throughout the year to keep abreast of developments in our organization.
