Registration Questions

What is the 2008 Emerson Global Users Exchange Conference?
The Emerson Global Users Exchange Conference was developed to provide end users with a valuable exchange of information among process manufacturers, end-users and Emerson experts.  The unique opportunity offers peers the ability to network, view and offer input about developing Emerson technologies and to take away new knowledge, ideas and techniques to help maximize assets and increase profitability. 

The Conference includes:

  • Industry specific workshops and Short Courses Presentations

  • Hands on Educational Center Short Courses

  • Technology Exhibits

  • Special Interest Group Meetings

  • Social and Networking Events

  • Fully functioning Demo's

The following meals/receptions are also included: 

  • Breakfast – Monday through Friday
  • Lunch – Monday through Friday
  • Reception – Monday through Wednesday evening
  • Offsite Reception – Thursday evening

 

How do I register?
Register online through EmersonExchange.org.  Online registration will open on June 1, 2008.

What are the Registration Costs for the Conference?
Registration rates and packages will be available for preview early 2008.

Hotels

The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center is our host hotel for the 2008 Emerson Exchange Conference.  Please Note:  The Gaylord National will book up quickly and reach full capacity.  Please book early

Is there parking near the Convention Center?
This information will be available once the hotel opens in early 2008. 

Is Transportation available from the airport?
SuperShuttle is available from all airports.  Approximate costs are as follows:

Ronald Reagan National Airport $18.00 per/passenger  $65.00 exclusive
Dulles International Airport $32.00 per/passenger  $100.00 exclusive
Baltimore/Washington Airport   $39.00 per/passenger  $110.00 exclusive

Please note that rates are one way rates.  The exclusive rate is for a single reservation for a party of no more than seven (7) people.  The shuttle will not be shared by any person(s) not affiliated with the reserving party.

Conference Questions

What is the Expected Attendance?
The 2008 Emerson Global Users Exchange Conference is expected to exceed 2100 attendees.

What is the Conference Attire?
Casual to Business are both appropriate.

Where can I find the Conference Abstracts/Session Descriptions?
Session descriptions will be available under the Short Courses and/or Workshops tab once they are developed.

Will presentations be available after the Conference?
Presentations will be available on a proceedings memory stick that will be distributed at registration.

Are meals included in the cost of registration?
Conference attendees and their registered guests receive all breakfast and lunch meals, as well as beverages and appetizers at the Technology Exhibit receptions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. 

What is the Agenda?

How many Professional Development hours can I get for attending the conference?
The number of CEUs available will be determined once the scheduled is designed.  Please check back soon.
